San Jose, CA (June 15, 2010) – RHUB Communications, Inc., the leader in real-time collaboration appliances, today announced exciting new capabilities for TurboMeeting 4.2, the company’s flagship collaboration appliance software. The features include multipoint camera capability (for both PC and Mac), allowing a Web-conference host to enhance the connection between participants by displaying webcam images of up to four attendees at once. The new version also includes complete Outlook integration, a High Availability Backup option for mission-critical collaboration sessions,
webinar registration (for capturing attendee contact info prior to the beginning of any
webinar), webinar polling and advanced LDAP directory integration.
RHUB also announced an expansion of the company’s product line, adding three models targeted at the mid-sized enterprise and increases in the capacity of enterprise-level models. Both product line changes reflect growing demand for real-time collaboration appliances and growing reliance on them in the enterprise.
TurboMeeting 4.2 gives enterprise users a full range of highly secure, cost-effective collaboration services, including
web conferencing,
video conferencing, audio conferencing, remote support and remote access. It allows organizations of any size, structure or geographical distribution to leverage the full range of cost-saving, real-time, synchronous collaborative services throughout their entire organization without paying for a single subscription or software package.
“We’ve worked closely with our customers in developing these features, and they’re telling us RHUB has really ‘raised the bar’ in enterprise collaboration technology by combining an unmatched set of features and capabilities with next-level security and cost effectiveness,” said Larry Dorie, CEO of RHUB. “With the multipoint camera, Outlook integration, and strong LDAP integration – this is a collaboration solution every enterprise will want to look at.”
Among the features included in
TurboMeeting 4.2:
- Outlook Integration: Provides full-meeting scheduling from within Microsoft Outlook. Users can leverage their Outlook contact database to schedule or initiate meetings, send invitations and receive responses.
- Multi-Point Web Cam: Event hosts can now display images from their own webcam plus three additional attendee webcams. This feature has a powerful impact on the quality of collaboration, since attendees are able to see those guiding and participating in events.
- High Availability Backup: For many enterprise customers, secure and reliable collaboration is absolutely mission critical. The High Availability Backup option means redundancy for every aspect of every TurboMeeting event is seamlessly maintained against any possible outage.
- LDAP and Active Directory integration: Because TurboMeeting is designed to be used across every group in every enterprise, advanced LDAP integration makes TurboMeeting even easier to use and maintain, simplifying and enhancing the way collaboration is used.
- Webinar registration: Users can capture attendee contact information, and attendees are directed to a company’s own sign-up page that will record attendee information and communicate with the TurboMeeting appliance.
- Webinar Polling/Voting: Hosts can poll attendees with specific questions via multiple choice during meetings, or set up polling questions prior to meetings.
